deck in new canaan

I’m replacing a deck this week. The existing deck has seen it’s share of repairs over the years, half of the remains are clear Redwood. (California!) It needs rebuilding before the house goes on the market.


outta sight!

I’m making something totally out-of-sight this week. It’s slang but also will literally the result of quite a bit of precision planning, cutting and manipulating of materials. Wait ’til you see this installation.


Gorilla Ladder

I like my Gorilla 4-in-1 Ladder. It is a little heavy to tote around but it’s well worth it’s weight on the jobsite!

Due to response from visitors to my journal entries on interior and exterior door repairs at Philip Johnson’s Glass House I’ve posted a gallery of images taken in January and February of 2006. Here are some of my favorite shots from different locations on the property.

Part of my New Year’s resolution for 2008 is to clear out wood from my shop and storage and finish the half completed projects cluttering my space. Within my possession is a copious supply of hardwood and softwood lumber in various shapes, sizes and conditions. I have intentions for most of it.
