Santa’s Woodshop

I made gifts for a dozen friends and family this year. From small felt lined boxes to one of the coolest things I’ve ever made, most of the projects utilized reclaimed wood. Using woodworking kits and recycled wood, the cost of gift giving was only a matter of time. Fortunately, I started early.

Cancer the Crab Necklace Rack

My daughter asked me for something to hang her necklaces on. I thought about it for a week and came up with a few designs but nothing seemed worth the effort. Sunday afternoon project time; another piece of recycled mahogany siding from a Frank Lloyd Wright house turned into something cool.

Repairing an FLW storm window

I had the chance to repair a broken storm window last week. One side of a mahogany framed storm had broken years ago letting in quite a draft on stormy days like today.
